If we haven’t met, let me introduce myself. 

My name is Silver Rose and I have successfully recovered from 30 years of clinical depression coupled with PTSD and alcoholism. My depression began at age five when I was repeatedly abused by my best friend’s father. I told no one.

I was deemed “overly sensitive” and found my escape in books and sleep. I did not want to face life.

At age 13, I began my lifelong quest to find out how to be happy. That summer I decided that being popular in High School was the answer to my bad feelings so I walked into my hometown library, took the Librarian aside and very quietly (so no one would overhear) asked if there was a book that would help me be popular. She recommended How to Win Friends and Influence People.  And guess what? It worked! I applied the books’ principles and that fall was elected to student council! And it DID make me happier – for about six weeks. But my jubilation soon wore off and pretty soon I was back to focusing on my problems.

I didn’t give up, though. Because I had been successful in my first attempt at changing my life for the positive, I continued on my quest. I read every book I could get my hands on, took all kinds of workshops and seminars, went through therapy, and even walked barefoot across hot coals with Tony Robbins!! 

It took me over 20 years to get there but I finally turned the corner in 1988 when I was finally deemed fully recovered. And, with the exception of a three-month relapse in 2008, I get happier each year and my life has gotten better and better.

Now I am in my 60s and this is my passion project – to share with you the wisdom I have acquired along the path to happiness. I have put it into a course that would have been the answer had I asked that same librarian, “Is there a course that will show me how to be happy again?”
