About Silver

Silver grew up in a small suburb of Boston. She majored in Journalism at San Diego City College and, when her family moved to Nevada, she joined them and began her meteoric career. She was Administrative Assistant to the Governor of Nevada at 23. At age 25, she owned an insurance agency and was selected as one of the Outstanding Young Women of America. She was recruited by a British Media Tycoon to be his second in command including serving as Creative Director and Head of Sales.

At the age of 36 all that success was challenged. Silver was diagnosed with clinical depression coupled with alcoholism. She was told she’d been depressed since age 5 when she’d been abused by her best friend’s father and kept the secret to herself. Once she became an adult, she feverishly stacked up accomplishments to prove she was “okay”. In reality, she’d been hiding from the truth.

Her story, far from sad, is one of triumph over circumstances. Through hard work and determination, she slowly and surely began the recovery process. Along the way, she acquired useful knowledge, much of it surprising. In all her work, she reveals the tools and techniques she uncovered as she moved from “depressed” to “un-depressed” and ultimately to “happy.”

Depression is at epidemic levels. Knowing these tools can provide some relief; Silver has decided to make this her passion project – teaching others what she did to recover from her depression. This is not altruistic in the least. Why? Because one of the secrets Silver learned is that service to others is the #1 key to happiness. The more time spent sharing these secrets, the happier she gets!

A Message from Silver

My name is Silver. I know you can achieve happiness because I did.

For 30 years, I suffered with clinical depression. My doctor told me I’d had it since age five.

Today I am fully recovered.

If recovery were all that happened, it would be more than enough. Depression is a terrible thing and the relief of it being lifted feels like a miracle.

My life transformed in all areas:

I am physically healthy where I had been chronically sick. I enjoy rich and rewarding relationships. I became a better mother, a better sibling, and friend. I re-married and am a much better spouse. And wow, did my finances improve!

And get this: I experience joy on a regular basis. JOY!!! Put a check mark next to spiritual transformation.

Now I am ready and eager to share with you the tools that transformed me from clinical depression to true happiness.

As the saying goes, “For of those to whom much is given, much is required.”

I am devoting the rest of my life to supporting others to achieve happiness. With the epidemic of depression and stress, we need all hands on deck and I’m stepping up.

Whether you are where I was (or worse) – OR – you’re really stressed and need some relief – OR – you’re doing well and would like to do even better, these tools will support your well-being.

Hint: it’s all about where you focus.
